InfraPortos South America 2013
THE LARGER MEETING POINT FOR THE PORT TECHNOLOGY SECTOR IN BRAZIL
The port infrastructure industry is experiencing a period of great economic growth. In official announcement relevant to the infrastructure national development, Brazilian Federal Government promised an explosion of investment in the port sector.
The Government announced investments of U$ 27 billion by 2017, and according to the Special Secretariat of Ports document, these new investments will be applied in leases and private terminals (TUP), being U$ 15,5 billion in 2014 and 2015 and U$ 11.6 billion in 2016 and 2017. Due to this tremendous market growth, UBM decided to create a meeting point where buyers and suppliers can interact at an exhibition dedicated to port infrastructure in order to generate new business.
The goal is to meet the needs of these two audiences: ports and terminals with equipment manufacturers and technology providers.
After three years as a parallel event to Intermodal South America, InfraPortos South America will now be held as an exhibition and conference in Santos – the city which houses the largest port in South America.
UBM Live connects people and creates opportunites for companies across five continents and more than 20 industry sectors to develop new business, meet customers, launch new products, promote their brands, and expand their markets through live exhibition, conference, awards programmes, publication, websites, training and certification.
